Walnut. Still life arrangements are set up for painting -- and sometimes the group has a clothed model for a subject. Painting sessions are free and open to all who might be interested, start after 9 a.m. on Thursday mornings with parking on Walnut Street or in the back parking lot. Jeanie Morris, the owner of Artworx invites artists to, "Come and join the fun!"

From April through October, SPA meets every week to paint outside. Outdoor sessions will start up again in April 2008 on Thursday mornings, and the schedule of meeting places is sent out ahead by email. No need to RSVP -- all you do is show up if you want to.

The group is made up of artists of varying talents. The more accomplished painters are very helpful and supportive to those who are new or struggling with their painting. For more information please email Monty Kile at montykile@hotmail.com
